Tips for a good presentation

 - Once you are clear about the objectives of your meeting (“what do I want to have conveyed at the end of the day?”), summarise all the necessary facts and reduce them to the bare essentials.

- Develop key words with the briefest of explanations and place everything in a logical order. Your presentation should unfold in the same way a book does:

Introduction > Main Body > Conclusion

- Your final charts should contain summaries listing specific activities or serving as the basis for a follow-on discussion.

- By breaking down your main topic into sub-points and writing the key words on different sheets you will generate excitement. This will arouse the curiosity of your audience (“What’s on the next page?”).

- Never put too much detail on each page (or write too small). Remember that the people in the back row will also be interested in your presentation. What is more, too much text makes people tired.

Single, clearly legible key words will have a much better effect. Less is more! Also, set aside blank areas for anything you may wish to add later on.

- Vary the way you write your text so that all pages do not look the same as the first one.

- Do not write “joined up”, but print if possible. Include small graphics and illustrations. Use different colours and stroke widths for emphasis.

Tips for an organised whiteboard

- Note your information in a structured manner. For example, try sorting your information according to ideas, projects, "to do’s", deadlines, and so on.

- Only attach notes to whiteboards if they are needed frequently; other documents which are not needed that often should be filed away or put in folders.

- Check that your information does not become out of date – only up-to-date information requires a place on your whiteboard.

Tips for using your board intensively

Before using your whiteboard for the first time, it is best to clean it.

Spray Legamaster cleansing spray onto the surface and clean it gently with an eraser, soft sponge or tissue. Make sure that the surface is dry before you start writing.

Always use Legamaster markers with dry-wipe ink. The ink of these markers can easily be wiped off all whiteboard writing surfaces and is odourless too. Store your markers in a horizontal position.

Whenever your whiteboard is in use, it is best to clean it thoroughly once a week with cleansing products. This will remove any marker residue and guarantees that ink traces can be properly removed. If you purchase an accessory kit with your whiteboard you will immediately have everything you need to use your board in the best possible way.
